Thanks admin. Hector actually called last night and wonder if your involvement and the posting on your site influenced that. We've had the money put back on our debit card and he apologized and said he'd leave gift certificates at the store.

I might not redeem the gifts, that's never been my goal. The apology was nice and money back is nice. Interestingly, he said the gift card company said the card DID in fact have the funds on it, but the restaurant had never properly registered the card.

I'd still like to hear from Rick, but I doubt that will happen.

To be fair, the food at the restaurant is delicious and we really like it. Having read around the internet while making posts about my experience, I've read numerous complaints about Rick.

Thanks, Nathan

Rick is a rude guy. We have dined several times at Picazzo's. My spouse has Celiac disease and really looks forward to the pizza. So much so that her fellow teachers gave her a gift card. After our meal, which was great, we went to pay and were told there was no money on the gift card. This was disappointing, but not the end of the world. Rather than end the exchange there, management came over to the register (Rick and Hector), proceeded to explain that the card was likely stolen and badgered my spouse for the name of the person who gave her the card. This was really odd, given that the hostess had said "This has been happening alot lately with gift cards, let me get my supervisor." So, a known issue that has been regularly occurring prompted two seemingly upper managers to become accusatory, condescending and rude. We gave them a number to call us on in the morning after they contacted the gift card company, and Rick said "888? that number will reach you? Huh." It was obvious he thought we were lying. Four days have passed and despite a few calls to the location, I've had no word from them. I contacted Picazzo's via e-mail and had a very pleasant exchange with Laura, who offered me gift certificates. This is reasonable on her end and likely all she can do. I appreciate her efforts, but I want the amount of the gift card back on my spouses debit card and an apology from Rick and/or Hector for their deplorable customer service. This is obviously something I won't get, as they've spent the better part of a week ignoring my attempts to contact them. Rick and Hector got their $25 that night (which I was prepared and resigned to pay without a grudge as soon as they told us the gift card didn't work). Instead of leaving it at that, they heaped terrible customer service on top of an unfortunate situation and lost all future business from us. My spouse said she'd rather eat gluten free frozen pizzas than go to a restaurant and get insulted publicly in front of the staff and clients.
