Create Cafe & Catering


We are very pleased to announce this news hot off the grill…

Create Cafe & Catering is introducing a new gluten free menu on Monday, April 11, 2011.

The new menu will include over 30 gluten free items from salmon burgers with tzatziki served on a gluten free bun to curry chicken salad with roasted pepper walnuts on brown rice tortilla.

Yummers!


To celebrate this, every Monday through the Summer 2011, Create Cafe & Catering will be offering free fountain beverages with any gluten free meal and $2 Ace Pear Cider gluten free beer.

La Cocina Restaurant and Cantina

Located in the heart of downtown Tucson, La Cocina Restaurant and Cantina at Old Town Artisans offers a new explicitly-labeled gluten-free menu. Preview La Cocina Restaurant and Cantina menu.

La Cocina Restaurant and Cantina is located at 201 N. Court Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701.

They are open Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm, Sunday & Monday from 9am to 3pm. Happy Hour is Tuesday through Friday in the 1890’s cantina from 5pm to 8pm, where you can enjoy live music, drink specials, and food.

Big Skye Bakers

Big Skye Bakers is based in Tucson and they use all-natural mesquite flour, which they harvest from the native mesquite tree, and they offer gluten-free products and big pies special order.

Arizona Restaurant Week 2010

You probably sense the excitement in the culinary air in anticipation of the annual Arizona Restaurant Week.

A new exciting feature this year is the addition of gluten-free menu options. While this is great, we are slightly disappointed that not too many restaurants in Tucson have opted to provide information regarding their gluten-free menu options during Arizona Restaurant Week 2010.

However, we have confirmed that the following restaurants will be offering gluten-free menu options during Arizona Restaurant Week 2010:

2. Zona 78 Italian Kitchen

Zona 78 Italian Kitchen

It is really exciting to announce that Zona 78 offers a number of gluten-free menu options. While not available online, you can ask your server for a gluten-free menu. He/she will give you the regular menu but highlighting the dishes that can be prepared gluten-free.

Bamboo Club Asian Bistro – Updated

We are excited to announce: Recently, The Bamboo Club Asian Bistro (located at the South Plaza of Park Place Mall) changed their menu and now it offers a gluten free section. Preview Bamboo Club Asian Bistro’s gluten-free menu.

The Melting Pot

Although I have not personally been, I only hear amazing things about The Melting Pot. Well, here is another amazing thing about The Melting Pot… they now offer a gluten-free menu!

Recently, the owner informed GlutenFreeTucson.com that The Melting Pot has recently revamped its menu, such that they can make almost any cheese, salad, entree, or dessert gluten-free. You can preview/download the Melting Pot’s gluten free menu.

Gluten Free Foods & Raw Foods Fair

Whole Foods Market is hosting the Gluten Free Foods & Raw Foods Fair. This event is a fun and educational sampling extravaganza!

At the event, there will be raw foods, super foods, and gluten free foods. In addition, the event will feature demos with gluten-free chefs, raw foods chefs, play with your fruits and veggies demos, and activities for kids.
